the 'i love you, you love me' Barney..

If you remember, the KE70 which i blogged not too long ago is name, CheeseRolla.. every car guy will name their car/s.. yes, they do.. and the boyf is no exception to this.. he name most of his cars, except the Honda Jazz.. thus i call it, the Jazzy Jazz.. haha..

Anyways, he is a fan of Nissan and he is a JDM guy.. so.. can you guess what cars he has? yes, he has the R32, R33 and a S13..

Now let's have a look of his gojira, the midnight purple Nissan Skyline GTR33 tuned by Garage R.. i am very sure he name it Barney coz of the purple color :P as he asked me to paint my baby Z to blue and name it Cookie Monster, haha

The first time he came over to pick me up was in Barney; coz our first un-official date was touge up Gohtong for Starbucks.. yes, this is a norm for us, car enthusiasts all in KL..

When i posted this photo up on FB, almost everyone knew whose car was it.. coz of the unique shifter and gearknob.. a monstrous barney 600+whp with a professional driver behind the wheel.. it is THE perfect combo.. i was a lucky girl BUT i am even luckier when i found out that the owner has a 'thing' for me :D

I was very fortunate to be able to have a chance to sit in Barney so soon.. as i realise many guys are in queue to have a ride in Barney.. oh well.. the perks of being a girl :P

The boyf really takes care of his cars.. he spends time fixing them, polishing them, washing them, DIY and etc.. but most importantly he drives them hard.. unleashing their full potential.. it's driven, not parked

Barney went for a photoshoot not too long ago with Mcclubz

At the end of the shoot, i requested this photo.. the more i look at it, the more am lovin' it :D

Some are personal photos took by me and the boyf

Here's a video of the boyf driving at Ulu Yam, 2 years ago.. yes he drove like this too when i was in the car

How i miss sitting in Barney.. but i miss the owner/driver more.. he is right, it will be hard for any guy to impress me now.. coz it will have to take another crazier driver than him in order to do so :P

ps: oh did i mentioned, all his Nissan cars are 'pure. race. cars.' two don't have a air-cond and all no radio.. who needs I.C.E when we could enjoy the sound of the monster

female car enthusiast..

Just recently i had a talk with my mum.. she has been asking me to change my baby.. for the l o n g e s t time.. she said, it is time.. according to her my baby is old.. i tried to explain to my mum why i love cars, my baby z especially.. she just doesn't get it.. so all i said at the end was 'i like driving. fast.'

Most people are quite curious about my passion for cars.. of all the things, why cars? the automotive industry are dominated by males.. well... my passion started since i was 18 years old.. and it has been 16 years now and counting.. i consider myself quite fortunate as how things fell into place..

When i was 18 years old, my first car was a Proton Iswara 1.5L AT.. it was from my mum.. back then i've no knowledge on cars and all i knew was to drive it.. fast.. haha.. then my mum got me a Kia Spectra after a couple of years.. upgraded from a 1.5L to 1.6L.. haha.. back then i already started to develop my love for cars..

Passion grew after i met Russ, my ex husband (9 years ago).. we met on ZeroToHundred, ZTH forum and we clicked instantly.. we were young, in love and share the same passion for cars.. yes, he was the one who drove the bayside blue Nissan Skyline GTR34 Vspec (HKS tune) from Garage R.. he thought me a lot about cars coz i was asking him too many questions.. while he was away for work, i was the one who kept him up-to-date with the modification progress of his baby.. i started to learn about the parts, the brands, tuners and etc..

And when he was back, we always go for drives.. he took me out for car gatherings with the skyline boys; that's where i met most of the guy friends which i have today.. i always pushed Russ to drive harder and faster.. i just love to hear the sound of the RB.. inline six.. music to my ears..

As Russ knew about my passion for cars had grew, he got me my baby Z.. he knew the Nissan Fairlady 350Z was my dream car.. i just fell in love with it when it was first launched (not when it was in Tokyo Drift).. the curves.. yummy.. we searched high and low for a mint condition Z from car dealers.. Tan Chong wasn't selling it here brand new.. the first Z we saw was in JB.. drove all the way down south in the R34; not that he was complaining.. as he got to drive his baby, haha..

The Z which we saw was modified; with big GT wing, loud exhaust, 19" rims and it was in blue! i love it BUT Russ was kinda skeptical.. after thinking long and hard, he decided it was best to get a mint stock condition Z (even though it will cost bit more)

Alas, we found the Z one day.. it was perfect.. grey color, stock standard with Fujitsubo exhaust, brembo brakes and Bose system.. we kept the car standard for quite awhile.. haha.. who are we kidding? how can we, as car enthusiasts keep a JDM car stock standard?

Russ gave me an option, either to change rims OR exhaust.. so i went with a HKS hi-power exhaust with torched titanium tips.. he got it and installed it by N1 Racing.. we also took out the speedcut and got the Veilside kit..

My baby has been with me for 7 years now and people often are quite fascinated or curious how the hell i have my baby as a daily driven car.. i clocked 140,000+km on this baby in 7 years.. driving her to Penang-KL-JB-SG and vice versa.. all these years i have been quite fortunate as my baby didn't really gave me much big problem; maybe coz i kept her NA..

Okay, back to the topic.. i really do not know how to explain to people what made me love cars; especially when they asked me.. and not too long ago, i was being asked by Mat Canyon if he could interview me.. i was like... what for? he said probably i could tell my side of story how my passion for cars develop..

To be honest, i do not have a dad who love cars AND i do not have an ex bf who influence me into loving cars.. it just happened naturally and gradually.. maybe coz the sound of the engine, the wastegate, bov, exhaust? or maybe the G force that i get from driving the car? or maybe just plainly the power of the car? or the backfire/misfire?

All i know is that, i am attracted to cars NOT according to their brands of logo.. i believe that every car has their own pros and cons BUT for me.. i am truly a JDM girl *wink*

No one could understand my passion except the car guys and some car girls :) i still have a long way to learn.. not only on the car itself but how to handle a car as well.. from a AWD to RWD to FWD..

Some people might think that i wanted a Z just to show off; but if you do know me well enough.. i ride with the boys.. and i do not hesitate to ask the boys for a ride in their cars sometimes :P

To those who are reading this, yes.. you.. if we know each other coz of cars, i do appreciate your friendship.. to me, we are FAMILIA..

you ride. i ride

*fist bump*

Here i end this post with a video clip of the beloved bayside blue Nissan Skyline GTR34 V-Spec being tuned by Nezuka-san from Duke Racing after being stroked to 2.8L with 4inch ARC titanium exhaust

am i doing it right this time?

It has been awhile since i last wrote anything related to my personal life and feelings.. the last time i did was way back in 2013 i think.. so does it mean i have become a lil more private person? haha.. waaaait.. i think in Jan 2015 i did mentioned i was seeing someone..

Actually between 2013 and 2014, i took almost a year off from relationship.. i was doing some soul searching and started to be a better person, for myself.. i was thinking back to all of my previous relationships and analyse it, where did it go wrong.. i refused to jump into another relationship when i wasn't ready to commit..

Then along came J.. didn't give much thought about him at first but as we hung out and spent more time together, i realise he's a great guy.. funny guy.. friends asked me to give it a try.. that it's time for me to be with someone, giving me and J a chance as i might not know if he will be the one.. to cut the story short, things didn't work out for us after 5 months.. i was really sad and devastated, partially it was my fault.. i just couldn't TRUST a guy.. i got depressed for about a month; not eating right, stuck at home, was in bed all day and night, staring at the ceiling and etc.. but i was lucky to have friends to talk to.. i bounced back pretty quick and then i realise, probably i didn't really love him..

Soon i was back in my circle of friends.. attended car group gatherings.. i just wanted to meet new people and be the happy-go-lucky nicole once again.. never once expected that after the night of the Skyline gathering, it was the beginning of a new 'journey' for me..

Friends were quite curious how it all started for the both of us.. and each time when i think back, i would have this silly smile on my face.. as though it was just yesterday :)

How it all started was very natural.. after the gathering, he hijacked a post between me and a guy friend of his on fb.. it turned out to a funny post.. then on friday, i saw he posted asking if anyone wanted to go for touge.. as i love cars, eventually i'd ask for 'taxi ride' in my friends car :P so as usual... i asked him!

Coincidentally we both stay quite near, like 10 mins away.. he came to pick me up.. we went up to Starbucks, Gohtong Jaya.. spent a few hours together just chatting.. from that night onwards, we started to text each other everyday and hanged out frequently.. getting to know each other.. things just took place naturally and on one of our usual nights as we were texting each other, the confession took place..

To be honest, i do not know how famous he is in the automotive industry or if he is like a car celebrity.. all i know is that i can be myself when i am with him, he makes me laugh with his silly jokes, we both been through shits, i understand what he went through and we share the same passion for cars..

It has been 3 months now since he popped the question asking me to be his gf.. i must admit, it has been a roller coster.. emotionally.. don't get me wrong.. its not coz we fight or argue.. just that there's something he need to work on on himself.. and i promised him that i would be there for him, through the good and bad..

It hasn't been easy on both of us.. but i just hope we could pull it through.. i do not know where will this relationship take us to.. i've learnt not to put too much expectation.. so i am taking a step at a time.. but of course, i'd want to spend my future with him.. we just got so many things to do together.. the things we planned, the places we both wants to go.. our bucket list.. he once said, i am already in his bucket *blush*

He is the only guy whom i could trust; someone who would actually not bother about his phone when he is spending time with me.. he has no idea how much he means to me.. all i want for him, is to be happy.. again.. genuinely happy.. even if it's without me..

If you are reading this b, just remember.. after rain comes the sun.. and i would be there waiting for you..

THE Bojio YumCha...

14th December 2014 - it was a FUN day for us all.. one whole day spent with the car guys under the sun mostly.. haha..

The Breakfast Club (TBC) organised a Bojio Yum Cha session.. basically it was a session where all of the motor heads would gathered, catching up, talked about cars, admiring the rides, went for a stroll and ended with a photoshoot session

We gathered at a mamak at putra heights for breakkie and then after some safety talk, we proceeded to putrajaya

Safety talk / rules

It was quite an organised 'stroll' to putrajaya.. no cars really strayed off.. everyone was quite obedient on following the instructions.. probably coz they want their photos to be taken :P

The only female photographer and we became friends!

The boyf in elmo, S13 <3 p="">

We arrived our destination...

AND as soon as i saw the slope, i was like... WTF! o.O

I scrapped my baby T_T

Everyone got to the parking safely.. no bumper fell off :P

After snapping a few photos, TBC decided to move to another venue.. a BIGGER parking space.. so we all scrapped our cars.. AGAIN =.="

Look at poor elmo.. almooooooost.. toooooo close for comfort..

We arrived at a bigger parking space and it was still super hot.. sun was blazing and we all got sun tanned :P

The lonely 'ladies'

Last but not least, the boyf gave us some 'entertainment'.. what he does BEST.. can you guess?

After the 'donut' he did a burnout.. or was it vice versa? hmmmm....

Overall, like i said it was a SUPER fun and hot day! it was 2 days before we officially got together and i shall remember this day as long as i could

Here's a video to summarise the day from Ryan Ng! :D

ps : credit to all the photogs for all the AWESOME photos
