Anyways, after that i've ALWAYS wanted pets again BUT my mum won't allow.. she thinks that it's a hassle AND she's afraid of animals.. she told me that was because she got chased and biten by a dog before when she was younger.. trauma? i guess.. but it ALL changed when boboie was brought back home.. he was SO adorable and cute that my mum couldn't stop carrying him and playing with him! here's the proof to how cute boboie is :-
Before i got boboie, i got a hammie.. his name is rusty.. he's a naughty lil furry fella.. yea yea, he escaped his cage 2wice!! he's smart, eh? heheh..
And finally before i even bought rusty, i had a couple of dwarf hamsters.. my cousin bought them for me BUT all of them DIED!! *sigh* i haven't even name them yet.. hope they RIP at my apartment's playground now.. by right, they have been decomposed by now :(
So, that's ALL the pets that i have and had.. what do you think?
ps: fyi, i do not know what caused my dwarf hamsters to die.. and each time when one of them died, i cried *sigh*

not sure what's a hamster's lifespan is like, but i was told they don't live very long.

i've always wnted to get a hamster..they r so CUTE! but since i have a dog alrdy..i put the idea on hold..no time lehh.. and also my dog damn jealous one..
^ if i'm not mistaken their lifespan is abt 7 months to about a year. but surprisingly i had one last time that lived up to about 2 years. that tough little creep outlived everything, i started with 4, then they multiplied to over 8, then 20, then until the said final one(original starting batch) which lived for 2 yrs, by far outliving the rest, even those 2 generations down :P
for my case, it was less than that.. less than a year.. the 3rd batch of the babies which were 6 of them ALL died at birth.. the female didn't take care of them after giving birth *sigh*
syrians can live up to 4 yrs. dwarves live up to 2 yrs.
i think your hamster babies died because you didn't set up a proper breeding nursery for it. you should go to those online hamster forums and read what ham-owners do for their pets. very educational and mind-boggling!
btw, your hammies in the bottomest pic look like hedgehogs! very cute!
hamsters are damn cute and nice to look at..and also play..but come to taking care..changing stuff in the cages and etc..yuck..and bleck..haha
haha.. for me i'd dismantle the cage, throw ALL the shavings into the toilet bowl n flush it! then i use wet tissue to wipe the bottom cage.. after that i only wash it.. i do this once a week... er... at least :p~

my mum never allows me to have pets too BUT since i got boboie, he's now VERY much attached to her :)
