fried rice?

This is my 1st time making fried rice.. well, it's actually my 2nd time IF you count the time when i was in school.. had to do it for the living skills project =.=

I prepared most of the ingredients earlier on :)

The rice was from yesterday as people said it's better to use overnight rice for fried rice.. and also i've cleaned and cut the prawns and squids yesterday.. so today, i just had to dice the french beans, chinese sausage, garlic and beat the eggs..

First of all, i fried the garlic in a pan with a lil oil.. then i put the squid, prawns, chinese sausage and the french beans into it.. stir fried it and add more oil.. when it's almost cooked, i poured in the rice.. mixed everything well after putting in the maggie fried rice mix.. finally, make a hole in the middle of the pan and pour the eggs in.. stir it til it's half cooked and then mix everything together..

The end product looked like this :-

It didn't only looked good BUT it taste yummy too! :) i am exteremly proud of myself.. hehe.. i can't wait to cook it for my bb.. he'll sure like my chinese seafood fried rice :D

needs?

Can anyone tell me what men and women need the most from each other? i came across this lil info which is well, basically quite true.. to most of us.. women and men need different things from each other..

For women
No. 1 : affection
No. 2 : conversations
No. 3 : honesty and openness

For men
No. 1 : sexual fulfillment
No. 2 : recreational companionship
No. 3 : attractive spouses

So, what do you think? is it true? i think it is...

Let's see a lil more details, shall we?

Sex don't last forever.. that's when understanding comes in.. you see, when a man get married under normal circumstances, that is to say he's promising to treat his wife as his one and only sexual partner till death do them apart..

But a man's way of showing affection to the wife isn't just through sex.. a woman needs something more than sex.. she needs AFFECTION.. be it a hug, a kiss, a little present, a surprise, a call.. and a woman needs to TALK things out..

That's when CONVERSATION comes in.. normally, as you can see, when a couple is married long enough, they found lesser and lesser things to talk about..

And why a spouse will engage in extra-martial affairs is when the 3rd party can give him or her something that his or her own spouse could not give..

I just couldn't agree more.. what about you?

As for recreational companionship, normally, before a couple is married, they will engage in activities together.. men usually associate these time spent together as something good but after marriage, some women tend to stay at home and take care of either kids or families.. so some guys will feel "cheated"

It's like a LOVE BANK, with Love Units (LUs)... let's say a woman engages in the same activity with the spouse, and they enjoyed the session, Love Units of the woman will increase in the man's heart..

But let's say.. the woman no longer engage in the same activity, the LU will remain the same in the man's heart..

And when another woman comes and engages in the same activity as the man, the LUs of that woman in the man's heart will increase, and perhaps go higher than the spouse.. that's when the man is stuck..

So the thing is.. no matter how busy you are, always find time to do some activities that you and your spouse enjoy doing together.. spend quality time together

For me, i always believe in that.. that's why i always make time (as if i'm busy :p), to accompany my bb to do things.. be it going to gym or swimming or attending gathering with car owners or watching movies or clubbing or cooking or snorkelling or etc..

Honesty and open-ness is important to a woman because it's how they associate being stable and emotionally secure.. every woman has a deep craving to know every parts of her husband's life.. every detail.. in which some men hate it.. as they feel like an invasion of privacy but a couple must learn to share burdens.. not just the good times..

I always had this craving actually.. wanting to know more BUT sometimes the past is the past.. no point looking back..

Attractive spouses.. guys want attractive women.. men usually judge by outward appearances.. so men are stimulated by sight.. men appreciate beauty..

See.. a woman don't mind her man rugged BUT a man mind his woman not being well-groomed..

For e.g. if a woman weighs 60kg before marriage and after marriage, balloons up to 80kg and making no efforts to dress up, how would the man feel?

Understanding is one thing, but to men, outward appearance is important..

Guys, i'm pretty sure it's oh-so-true riiiiiight? as for me, that is the reason why i bought the weighing scale is to keep my weight check plus i do go on diets.. it has been a long 3 months since i had pizza, kfc or any fast food.. well except eating mcd once :P

Besides my weight, my appearance.. er.... yes, i do not wear any make up BUT i do make an effort to wear at least eye liner or mascara when i go out.. hehe..

Domestic support, as in, men generally hates to do housework.. even if they do it, it'll be a hard task for them..

All men would like to come home to a clean and beautiful home, where dinner is already prepared, bathwater prepared for them, obedient kids doing homework.. stuff lilke that...

But then, women these days are also working.. so it's hard for them too.. that's why a lot of conflicts arise..

When a couple is newly-wed, it's easier to divide chores.. but when kids arrive, it's hard to balance all..

That's why it was recommended that a maid be hired to avoid such conflicts.. easier for women and men.. what's the cost of a maid, as compared to the cost of marriage..

If a man find no domestic support at home, he would be reluctant to go home.. why would he?

But even if a woman is a housewife, you don't marry a woman so that she can do chores..

I do have a lil advantage of this as my bb isn't around all the time, i'm not working and we don't have any kids YET.. hence i have all the time in the world to house chores.. plus my bb doesn't mind doing some chores when he's back.. hey, he cooked for me and i wash the dishes :)

Anyway, the last point is ADMIRATION.. ALL men would want their partners to admire them.. accept them for who they are and not change them, in that sense.. it's about attitudes and treatment, i guess..

All these while, i've been looking up to my bb and am proud of him.. he work hard for our future.. he has achieved so much for someone his age and he didn't started out easy.. he worked his way up hence i do really admire him :)

There.. what do you all think? agree or disagree? does this post make you understand the opposite sex a lil better? ;)

a few more?

Last time i was really lazy to cook.. coz i was staying with my mum.. when i cooked, my mum would be standing there, teaching me and nagging me =.=

Now when i have a place where i call it home sweet home, it's a whole different story altogether! :) i love my kitchen and i love to cook BUT i don't like to cook when i'm alone.. where's the fun of cooking when i have to eat alone? right?

And i know how most people HATE cleaning up after cooking BUT for me, i love cleaning up.. coz i can't stand the oil stains on the stove and the dirty pots and pans and plates.. everything will be spanking clean after a meal :) i won't sit down and watch tv or do something else until i'm done with cleaning up.. i guess i'm just brought up like this way.. hehe..

To prepare myself to be a good mommy (no i'm not preggie yet), i've to learn to cook.. coz i need to feed our kids! :p

So, this is what i cooked :-

As for the fish sauce, i used A1 pre mix which i got it from jusco.. A1 pre mixes are really good! try it out :)

Anyway, i can't wait to cook again.. wanna make soup, fried rice, steam fish, barley and etc.. but first of all, i need to do some grocery shopping :p

ps: bb, i know you're drooling.. i will cook for you when you're back home.. hehe..

ah beng jokes (part 2)

Here's more 'lame' ah beng jokes for your monday blues :-

1) On a december day

One beautiful December evening Ah Beng and his girlfriend Ah Lian were sitting by the side of the ocean.
It was a romantic full moon, when Ah Lian said "Hey baby, let's play Weeweechu."
"Oh no, not now, let's look at the moon" said Ah Beng.
"Oh, c'mon baby, let's you and I play Weeweechu. I love you and it's the perfect time,"Ah Lian begged.
But Ah Beng replied, "But I rather just hold your hand and watch the moon."
"Please Ah Beng, just once play Weeweechu with me."

Ah Beng looked at Ah Lian and said, "OK, we'll play Weeweechu."
Ah Beng grabbed his guitar and both sang this song……………..
"Weeweechu a melly Clistmas,
Weeweechu a melly Clistmas,
Weeweechu a melly Clistmas,
and a happy New Year”

2) Name for sister's children

Ah Beng’s pregnant sister was a victim of a car accident and falls into a deep coma. Asleep for nearly six months, she wakes up and sees that she is no longer pregnant. Frantically, she asked the doctor about her baby.
The doctor replies, "Ma'am, you had twins! A boy and a girl. The babies are fine. Your brother Ah Beng came in and named them."

The woman thinks to herself, "Oh no, not my brother - he's is not very smart"
Expecting the worst, she asks the doctor, "Well, what's the girl's name?"
"Denise," the doctor replied.
The new mother thinks, "Wow, that's not a bad name! Guess I was wrong about my brother. I like Denise!"
Then she asked the doctor, "What's the boy's name?"

The doctor replied, "DeNephew."

3) Chinese friend with a dark baby

Ah Beng received a urgent call from his friend Mr. Wong from America, "Ah Beng, I have a big problem. My baby was just born and is very black and both my wife and I are Chinese. What shall we call this baby?"
Ah Beng promptly replied, "You have no choice but to call him Sum Teng".
So Mr. Wong took Ah Beng’s advice and called his son Wong Sum Teng.
Question : Why did Ah Beng choose the name Sum Teng ?
Answer : Because in America, his name would be Sum Teng Wong (something wrong)

4) Entrance exam

Ah Beng did not do so well in his entrance examinations. So the professor called him for an interview. The professor said, “Ah Beng, your results are not so good. But you still have a chance to enter the University. I am going to ask you three questions and if you can answer one question correct, we will allow you in.
So here is the first question,
How many seconds are there in one year?” Ah Beng replied,
“Oh that is simple sir, There are 12 seconds in one year”
The professor said, “Sorry Ah Beng, your answer is wrong. How did you get 12 seconds in one year”
Ah Beng replied, “Is it not Jan 2nd, Feb 2nd, March 2nd…..”

The professor said, “Okay Ah Beng, you think very differently from others. Here is a second question.
How many “D’s” are there in Rudolf and the Rednose reindeer?”
Ah Beng thought for a while and hummed the tune and quickly answered,
“It is easy sir, there are 56 “D’s” in the song.
The professor was surprised and said, “Ah Beng, your answer is wrong. How did you get 56 ?” Ah Beng hummed the tune and said, “I thought it was Deee, deee, deee, deee, deee.deeee, ddeee………” (with the tune).

The professor said, “I am sorry Ah Beng, you are wrong again. But you have one more chance to get into the university.
Here is your last question and you must get it right.
How many “T’s” are there in a week ?
Ah Beng replied, “Ooh,, that is simple. There are 2 “T’s” in a week.
The professor gave a sigh of relief. “Ah Beng, you are finally right. You can now enroll into our university. By the way, what are the two “T’s” ?”

Ah Beng replied, “Oh. Vely simple only. Today and Tomorrow lah”

5) Flight time

Ah Beng wanted to find out how long it will take to fly from Kuala Lumpur to Tokyo.
So he calls up Malaysian Airlines and asked, “Sir, can you please tell me how long it takes to fly from KL to Tokyo ?
The airline staff replied, “Just a minute”.
Ah Beng replied, “Wow, that is fast. Thank you very much.” and hangs up the phone.

what do i think of the cupcakes?

fyi: i know this has been overdue but here's what i think of the cupcakes :)

Well first of all, the cupcakes are sweeeeeeeeeeet!~~~ coz of the icing, duh! kekekeke...

I ate the cupcakes which i bought from cupcake chic first.. wow! can have diabetes, man.. the icing was SUPER DUPER sweet.. i wonder how much calories are in each one.. hmmm....

Next, i ate the ones i bought from bisou.. the cupcakes aren't as sweet BUT it's not as smooth and soft as the cupcake chic's cupcakes..

I save the cutest cupcakes for last.. sigh~~ wish i can keep them forever :P according from my bff, nikie.. she said wondermilk's cupcakes aren't so sweet.. and YES! it's not super duper sweet! omg, it just melts in your mouth! sooooooooo soft and smooth.. it's small and cute.. so far it's the BEST cupcake i've ate.. hehehe...

So there, that's my review for now.. think i'd avoid eating cupcakes in the next few months :p

housewife?

I've been a good girl housewife in the past couple of days.. i stayed at home, cooked, washed clothes and cleaned the house.. since my bff, nikie has been coming over to my place to hang out, i've decided to make her my 'white mice'.. hahahaha..

Day 1

Omelette

Stir fried veggie

Chicken curry (credits to my mum in-law for buying the curry paste for me)

Day 2

Omelette with prawns

Stir fried broccoli with prawns

Left over chicken curry

Our dinner

Well, the curry was abit diluted.. so next time less water! i still have the chicken curry with me =.= we ate it for dinner, lunch and dinner.. now left some potatoes only.. phew! we ate the curry with rice and also bread.. yummy :)

Anyway, i have a great product to introduce to y'all.. actually i first saw it when i was at jusco, midvalley with serena.. serena bought it and after using it, she told me it's quite good.. hence i got one myself a few days back when i was at jusco, tmn maluri..

It's a fruit and veggie wash!

Just pump a few pumps of it into a bowl of water and then mix it.. wash your fruits and veggie with it.. rinse it if you want.. i washed my veggie using it and look :-

All the dirt and sand just came off.. also it somehow makes the veggie looks greener.. hehehe.. it's 100% natural and organic.. so no need to worry ;)

There, i may not be a good cook but i am learning.. i hope when my bb is back, i can cook for him to try *fingers crossed*

where's the b'day pressie?

Some people might ask 'where's your b'day present that your hubby promised?', 'why haven't you brag about it yet?', 'so what you forced (pointing a gun to my bb's head) your hubby to buy for you this time?' and etc..

To be honest, my bb already said to me that i MIGHT get flamed if i post up what he got for me as my belated b'day present.. coz he knows that people are just plain jealous and loves to say bad things about other people so that they can look 'REAL' good.. but i told him 'so? i have a very loving hubby who loves to pamper and spoil me once awhile.. let them be jealous then' =.= i can't make everyone happy, riiiiiiiiiiiiight? i'm just a VERY lucky b-i-a-t-c-h AND i DO count my blessings, mind YOU!

Anyway, regarding about my mont blanc bracelet.. we took it to the mont blanc shop at pavilion and the SA was surprised to see my missing mother of pearl =.= luckily they can replace it for me FOC but it will take at least a few weeks coz they're ordering it from germany..

My bb asked me what do i want for my b'day present when we were in the mont blanc shop.. i did have my eyes on a bracelet BUT the price tag made my eyes popped out! it's retail at rm10k.. yea i know o.O

Of course we didn't get it.. it looks quite simple and besides i already have a bracelet.. so my bb bought me something else :)

TA DAH!

My 1st Louis Vuitton bag (rosewood amarant)

I got the receipt.. so it's NOT a replica, alright? :p~

It's NOT black in color.. instead it's more like red wine color.. under the light you can see the sparkles and reddish color :p

Do you know how to tell the difference between an authentic and a replica rosewood? let me tell you..

An authentic bag won't have a zipper IN the bag and oh, look at the tag inside

There's NO monogram underneath an authentic bag

There's a small lil round buckle at the end of the zipper for an authentic bag

There's only ONE compartment in an authentic bag

So, if you see a rosewood with monogram beneath it then it's definately a replica :p
it's the EASIEST to spot..

ps: i'm loving my bag to every bits.. and oh bb, thanks for taking some of the pics for me :)

The mother of pearl just decided to 'pop' out after 9 months =.=

See, i bought it in july 2008..

Hopefully i can get a replacement.. sigh~~

yummy cupcakes?

Remember my previous post? about cupcakes.. click here to refresh your memory :p

Well, i went to those 3 places which i mentioned and bought some cupcakes :-

Wondermilk @ Damansara Uptown, PJ (4 for rm17)

Cupcake Chic @ The Curve, PJ (1 for rm4.50)

Bisou @ Asian Heritage Row, KL (1 for rm5)

As you can see, Bisou doesn't emphasize on the packaging.. they have a dull white box with a dull plain brown paper bag.. what a waste.. i think they should make a nice box at least.. 1st impression counts ;)

I went to all these 3 different places in 3 days.. 1 place 1 day AND now i have 7 cupcakes in my fridge! i ate 1 last night =.="

My mum asked me 'aren't you scared of getting fat?? look at the icing cream!!'

I said 'i seldom eat cupcakes.. not even ice cream, cakes or donuts.. i just want to try out the cupcakes once and for all'

The actual cupcakes aren't THAT pretty right? sigh... i guess the cupcakes would be much much prettier IF we order it instead.. what do you think?

As for the taste, well.. er.... you gotta let me finish the cupcakes first before i can even comment.. maybe in a couple of days.. hehehe...

ps: anyone knows where else i can find cupcakes?
