I should've blog about this on sunday (13/08/06) night but i was too lazy AND sleepy.. furthermore i left the camera cable in my car.. so, since i have time now before leaving for dinner with my friend, here's some pictures of the small b'day party we had at my uncle's place..

Although it was not the exact b'day for my uncle and cousin, it was still a happy gathering for us.. my aunty, demi and uncle got back from bintulu, so it was fun! my cousin, ivan is now officially 16 years old now and my uncle is 50 years old already.. sigh. .time really flies..

We had my uncle's favourite steamboat.. my aunty got ALL the food and made the soups on saturday itself.. i got a BIG HUGE.. okay, a decent pretty box for my uncle so that he could stash ALL his rubbish in it and put it in his brand new car! hehe..

So, here's a couple of pictures..

This is the cake.. can you read what's on it?

This is a pot of Tom Yum soup with lotsa food inside.. mainly seafood, veggie AND mushrooms *yummy*

I'm not a good photographer AND everyone was not at their best.. ended up just taking a few shots.. pls proceed to my photo album for more pictures :)

Happy viewing!

how to modify a car?

For those jokers who thinks modifying a proton satria/accord/vios/ etc etc just for the sake of looking ' cool ' when you have no idea what 'modifying ' a car is all about.

Here's what european
ppl think of this kinda jerks :
When a moron (see: retard, dumb@$$) decides to
take a car (foreign or domestic) and tries to make it look fast. The car will not really gain any HP or performance, but it will gain numerous
stickers and shiny paint.

It
can be identified by one of the followings:

1. Huge exhaust that serves no purpose but to make the car louder.

2. Incorrect Badgings. (i've seen myself a Perodua Kelisa with a BMW logo!)

3. Insanely
large exhaust tips (5" in diameter or greater).

4. A Honda that has "performance mods" such as stickers, seat harnesses, and a fire extinguisher in full view (just in case the things catches on fire when it hits 60 km/h).

5. A driver who claims his car has 100 HP per liter but will not fess up to the fact that his car has a total of 43 ft/lbs of torque.

6. Spoilers & bodykits; especially those made of cardboard or plastic.

7. Large spoiler on the back that looks like something Boeing made for the 747.

8. Bodykit to make the car appear lower, usually accented with chicken wire.

The Laws

Law#1-Pronounce N.O.S. as one word (NAWS).

Law#2-When you are outpowered, call people out with your friends car.

Law#3-Have an aftermarket body kit installed (Lips not included).

Law#4-Use of neons or L.E.D.'s to light up your car.

Law#5-Use an aftermarket tachometer ... when your car already has a working stock tachometer in it.

Law#6-You must install a non-functional wing/spoiler on the back of your car.

Law#7-Names of performance parts on your car that you dont have.

Law#8-Claim to beat cars that your car is totally uncapable of beating.

Law#9-Magazine race.

Law#10-Install racing seats on a car that runs a 14 second or slower quarter mile.

Law#11-Listing stereo equiptment or any visual mod when listing all your performance mods.

Law#12-Believe that Honda invented VTEC.

Law#13-Putting sub-brand labels on your car ... example: Honda emblems on an Acura, Audi on a VW .. etc.

Law#14-Install an aftermarket duel-exhaust on a 4- cylinder.

Law#15-Make your exhaust sound like a lawn-mower.

Law#16-Buy a nitrous system just to purge.

Law#17-Mounting smaller tires to decrease gear ratio.

Law#18-Multi collored body panels.

Law#19-Claiming horse power and quarter mile times without testing or proof.

Law#20-Talk about how fast your car will be once you buy and install all the parts.

Okay, okay i admit.. i've done some of the mods mentioned above BUT i didn't OVER do it.. hehe.. i used to work as a part time cashier at my friend's accessories shop and i've seen MANY of those 'hideous' monster.. i was like.. oh nooooooooooooooooo......

why do i have to grow up?

Time really flies.. in a blink of an eye, i'm 25 already.. in a few (7) months more i'd be turning 26.. i could still recall the time when i was still a kid.. when my family pampered me, carried me around and going to school.. i miss my childhood.. although at that time i dreaded to go to school.. haha

In this 25 years, i think i've went through alot.. things happened for a reason and it really made me grow up.. it kinda forced me to grow up.. i've to learn to take care of myelf and to make my own decision and judgements BUT still i'm being treated as a KID!

Honestly, i think the BIGGEST impact in my life was 6 months ago.. when i spilt up with my current bf.. I gave him everything and no matter what, we still had to split (not that we want it).. after the break up, it hit me hard.. the way i think about relationships and life AND also my future.. i could say that it's partially a good thing but then i've lost someone whom i love truly madly deeply..

I've learnt to see things from a bigger picture AND from a different angle.. i tend to protect myself from getting hurt anymore and not trust anyone easily.. i used to be naive and think that everybody has a good heart.. no bad intentions.. it's just hard for someone to figure me out now.. i tend to keep my feelings to myself and observe / evaluate people around me.. i too, don't feel the urge in getting into any relationships now BUT if it comes, i can't stop it or prevent it.. so, i'd let things be..

could i EVER get rid of the blardy viruses in my pc?

It's been a really frustrating day for me these couple of days.. my pc has been manifested by some blardy trojan viruses.. WTF! what have i done to deserve all this? sigh...

I've used, lemme see... one, two, three and FOUR anti-virus & anti-spyware softwares.. argh!! spent the whole freaking day scanning and rebooting my pc.. AND now, i can finally say that... i think my pc is "healed".. thank God.. Amen!

Anyway, i'm currently taking a holiday now from work.. yeap, i resigned.. let's say that i can't adapt to the environment there.. not coz of the workload.. in fact i DID NOT mind having to stay til 1am just to work.. i love being busy.. it keeps me from being too free and left with nothing to do.. it could occupied my time :) but sad to say that, i left coz of something else.. BUT i do miss my ex-colleagues, Faisal and Nurul.. i miss having nasi lemak as breakfast with Faisal and having lunches with both of them AND also bugging Nurul to finish up some work.. hehe..

So, to my friends who are worried about me.. oh, some of them are happy that i left the job coz, oh well.. don't need to worry about me.. i'm less stressful now, i sleep til 10am or 11am, happier, could sleep late AND i could go shopping whenever i want.. i'm like having a vacation.. a week or 2.. then i'd be off to work again :) don't envy, ya? :p

Now, i do have more time to blog at the time being.. muahahahah AND also to catch up with friends.. also to think what car should i change.. lol.. hmmmmm.. toyota wish or Caldina OR a BMW E46? sedan or mpv or performance car? decision decision decision.... but right now, i need to shop for new clothes for a new job! ;)

nOops, i forgot to upload the pictures i took during the MTC (Malaysia Timber Council) dinner at Mandarin Oriental on 14th July 2006.. hehe..

manual or auto?

Okay, i've promised my friend that i'd have a post dedicated to him.. it's because he's so kind and sweet enough to let me drive his brand new Nissan Silvia, S15.. i know that he was all tensed and stressed up while i drove.. hehe.. there's a reason why he was all that..

The Silvia is a manual car (duh, of course) and it's been 7 YEARS since i drove a manual car.. yeah, the last manual car i drove was the
SLK (Small Little Kancil) when i went for the driving test.. at first, i had problems putting the gear into reverse.. the engine died twice! the next attempt was a success! haha.. i managed to drive to KLCC all the way without the engine dying and the car stalling in the middle of the road.. hehe..

It was an awesome experience! truly a memorable one for me, at least :p so, here's a couple of pictures of the car i drove :-

Okay, okay, i didn't manage to take the actual picture of my friend's car but still this is a S15 and the same color as well! :p

Isn't "she" something? *drooling* can't wait to drive "her" again and hit 140kmph at least *wink*

what is veilside?

Below is some info about Veilside :~

The VeilSide showroom sits nearby the Tskuba Circuit on the outskirts of Tokyo. VeilSide. Co., Ltd. was established in September 1990 by Yokomaku Hiranao. The name is derived from Yokomaku's name, "maku" meaning veil, "yoko" meaning side.

In the period directly following VeilSide's establishment, the company's focus directed towards performance tuning. At the 1991 Tokyo Auto Salon's custom car contest, VeilSide won Grand Prize in the Tuned Car Category despite that it was the first time the company had ever participated in the event. Soon after, Yokomaku's firm won trophies in the Dressed Up Car and Complete Car Categories as well. Soon after, Veilside originated the combat series, which sparked many other companies into a new era of aero-styling.

Today, VeilSide's dedication to precision and detail still prevails above all industry standards. Whatever it may be, from aesthetics to performance, they assure you that their products are created with uncompromising research and last but not least, endless passion.

If you guys watched "Tokyo Dirft", you'd have notice that the cars are from Veilside.. from the moment i saw the RX-7 which was driven by Han, i immediately fell head over heels in love with it..

Here's a couple of pictures to proof why i'm going nuts over this beauty :-

Ahhhhh... presenting this beauty.. isn't "she" lovely?

There "she" is again... crusing along...

Those spinning wheels.. i wonder how much is "she" doing... hmmm...

Ta dah! It's the inside.. isn't "she" remarkable?

anyone game for some "tests"?

Darn! i think i have no life after work, after all.. here i am, taking a bunch of "tests" just to kill some time off before i headed back home..

The first test was just simply... ME! haha..
1. What kind of a kisser you are? (see how i fair, guys *wink*)

You're an Expert Kisser

You're a kissing pro, but it's all about quality and not quantity
You've perfected your kissing technique and can knock anyone's socks off
And you're adaptable, giving each partner what they crave
When it comes down to it, your kisses are truly unforgettable

2. How vain are you? (see my result!*beaming*)

You Are 24% Vain

Okay, so you're slightly vain from time to time, but you're not superficial at all.
You are realistic. You know that looks matter. You just try to make them matter less.

3. Are you hot? (or am i not?)

You Play it Cool

You're not in your face, smokin' hot... and it's all by design
You have a carefully crafted cool persona, leaving everyone wanting to know just a little more.

4. How evil are you? (haha, see i'm not that evil)

You Are 28% Evil

A bit of evil lurks in your heart, but you hide it well.
In some ways, you are the most dangerous kind of evil.

5. You are a Romantic or Realistic? (think i am a helpless romantic)

You Are A Romantic
You are more romantic than 90% of the population.

You life your life like a fairy tale... or at least you try to.
Living for magical moments, you believe there's only one true love for you.
Love is the most important thing in your life, and you don't take it for granted.
Your perfect match loves to be in love as much as you do!

Jimmy Choo OR Manolo Blahnik?

Many people especially guys would be wondering who the heck is Jimmy Choo AND Manolo Blahnik.. well girls, educate them! but then i don't think many girls would know too.. haha.. okay, here's some info about them :-

Jimmy Choo
Was born in Penang, Malaysia in 1961 into a f
amily of shoe makers. He made his first shoe when he was only 11 years old. He attended Cordwainers's Technical College in London and the London College of Fashion.

All Jimmy Choo Couture shoes are hand-made, his unrivalled craftsmanship is demonstrated with obsessive attention to detail. Jimmy Choo Couture Shoes compliment the very finest designer clothing.

Jimmy Choo's style is always elegant, feminine and occasionally seductive. Jimmy Choo Couture shoes were favoured by the Princess of Wales, who would buy one style in several colours for evening wear and to coordinate with her day suits. Jimmy Choo lost count of the number of shoes he made for Princess Diana. After the separation she could frequently be seen in his delicate high-heeled shoes, a style that she could not wear when walking with her shorter husband.

isn't this piece beautiful? it's simple and pretty *drool*

one of Jimmy Choo's store and this store is at Fifth Avenue

Manolo Blahnik
Born in Santa Cruz de la Palma in the Canary Islands in 1942, Manolo Blahnik was brought up there on the banana plantation owned by his Czech father and Spanish mother. He and his younger sister Evangelina were educated at home rather than being sent away to school.
The family often travelled to Paris and Madrid, where his parents ordered clothes from his mother’s favourite couturiers, like Cristobál Balenciaga, and his father’s tailor. Sometimes his mother improvised and she persuaded the local Canary Islands cobbler to teach her how to make Catalan espadrilles from ribbons and laces. Manolo loved to watch her making them.

Throughout the 1970s and 1980s Blahnik concentrated on mastering the techniques of shoe-making by finding the best possible factories to work with and studying them carefully. The process of creating a Manolo Blahnik shoe begins with Manolo sketching it at home in Bath, his London office or one of his northern Italian factories with a Tombo Japanese brush pen in thre
e minutes of “firm, assured hand movements followed by precise, sharp little jabs as the details are fitted in”. He then takes up to a day to carve the last – usually from beechwood – and then sculpts the the heel, which is carved first on the machine, then chiseled and filed by hand. When Blahnik is satisfied, an aluminium mould is made of the last and then the plastic last from which the shoe will be made.

Stilettos are like diamonds.. girls' best friend.. although there's some studies showing that stilettos are not good for health, but... oh well.. what the hell.. it makes a woman feel sexy wearing it.. more confident and it also gives that S body shape that we always wanted.. for me, i'd settle for no less than 3 inches of stilettos..

Right now, i can't afford any shoes from Jimmy Choo AND Manolo Blahnik.. a Choo will cost me about USD 400 at least.. darn! but the good news is that Jimmy Choo will open his first shoe shop in Singapore and the next one will be in Malaysia (early next year) keeping my fingers cross.. i'd want to own my OWN Choo! hehe.. which means i gotta work harder and find the extra money for it..

All i could afford now is just Vincci shoes! stacks of them.. from sandals to 4 inches stilettos.. haha.. keeping most of it in my car boot.. don't you dare to steal my shoes.. i have my Viper alarm to protect them.. muahahaha...

modified cars, anyone?

In 2001, came out a movie which has become my favourite movie of all time.. since i'm a car lover, so the movie has got to do with cars! yup, it's the "The Fast and The Furious"

This is the synopsis for the movie :-

The Fast and the Furious takes you inside the thrilling world of street racing. Vin Diesel stars as Dominic Toretto, a gang leader who is accused of hijacking trucks and stealing over a million dollars worth of electronic equiptment. The FBI sends LAPD officer Brian O'Conner(Walker) undercover into Los Angeles' street racing circuit to take down Toretto and his team. As O'Conner becomes part of Toretto's life and gets involved with his sister, Mia (Brewster) he tries to prove that Toretto is innocent.

Then in 2003, came a sequel of the first movie which is "2 Fast 2 Furious" BUT it's totally un-related.
So below is the synopsis for it :-

Paul Walker returns in this action filled sequel to 2001's The Fast and the Furious. Brian O'Conner (Walker) has left LA due to his illegal actions from the first movie and now soars the streets of Miami making money here and there by street racing. Watched by Customs Agent Monica Fuentes(Mendes), Brian is caught by the police and is given a deal by Agent Markham and Bilkins to go undercover and try to bring down drug lord Carter Verone (Hauser)in exchange for his criminal record to be erased. Brian agrees but only if he is given permission to choose his partner. Brian heads home to Barsto, Arizona where he recruits an old friend Roman Pearce (Tyrese)to help him. Pearce agrees but only for the same deal Brian was offered. With the help of Monica, Brian and Rome work together to take down Verone.

And after 3 years of waiting, TA DAH! the recent "The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift".. this time the movie is even better.. just ignore the whole storyline or the characters development thingy, just focus on the cars.. such beauties.. *drooling* the action are superb! now i wanna learn how to drift.. anyone, can borrow me his car to crash? haha..

Okay, here's the storyline :-

Sean Boswell, who has always been an outsider. A loner at school, his only connection to the indifferent world around him is through illegal street racing -- which has made him particularly unpopular with the local authorities. To avoid jail time, Sean is sent out of the country to live with his dad in the navy, in a cramped apartment in a low-rent section of Tokyo. In the land that gave birth to the majority of modified racers on the road, the simple street race has been replaced by the ultimate pedal-to-the-metal, gravity-defying automotive challenge ... drift racing, a deadly combination of brutal speed on heart stopping courses of hairpin turns and switchbacks. For his first unsuccessful foray in drift racing, Sean unknowingly takes on D.K., the "Drift King," with ties to the Yakuza, the Japanese crime machine. The only way he can pay off the debt of his loss is to venture into the deadly realm of the Tokyo underworld, where the stakes are life and death.

Drag or drift? if i were to choose, of course drift.. these 3 movies are just awesome.. the cars and the babes.. *sizzling HOT* if you think these 3 movies are totally not related, then you're wrong.. at least the 1st and the current movie are somehow related.. in a way.. *wink*

Haha.. am sure guys by now know that girls just love to pick up some clothes at a store and enter the fitting room to try em' on.. you just hate going shopping with your gfs, eh? taking a long time to make up their mind whether to buy or not..
